Including a Voice Tag in your e-mail |
| |
Many e-mail programs let you have a PeerMe Voice Tag in the e-mail signature so that the recipient can easily get back to you with PeerMe. Getting the PeerMe Voice Tags to work in e-mail signatures requires some code editing. |
| |
Below are the instructions for Windows and some common e-mail programs - you will be able to set up in no time.
|
Creating the Voice Tag |
| 1 |
Go here: http://www.peerme.com/imgcreate |
| 2 |
Complete the wizard according to the instructions. Make sure your PeerMe Name is entered correctly. |
| 3 |
Right-click on the text box and click Copy. The HTML code is copied to your clipboard. |
| 4 |
Open Up any text editor such as Notepad (Start, Programs, Accessories, Notepad) and paste the code and save it on your hard disk |
| 5 |
Find the file you just saved on your hard disk. Right-click on it, click Rename, replace .txt with .html. Hit Return. You will get a warning you are changing a file extension. Just answer Yes. |
| 6 |
Note: If file extension does not show as .txt, then you need to go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, (untick) Hide extensions for known file types, Apply. |
| 7 |
You should now have a HTML file on your hard disk. Double-click and it should open up a browser with your PeerMe Voice Tag. Make sure it works - click on the Voice Tag and it should perform the action you wanted.
